Trakia Economic Zone /TEZ/ is a pillar for investors, not only because of the road and communal infrastructure it offers, but also the social one. “With these words the Regional Governor of Plovdiv Angel Stoev welcomed today the opening of the medical center “Trakia Medical – Maritsa” – the first in the country, located in an industrial zone. “Here will be served not only employees from the factories in the Maritza area, part of TЕZ, but also residents of surrounding settlements. Until now, they received a good livelihood, and now social and health care. Soon we will witness the first dormitory in the industrial zone”, suggested some of the future projects of the management of TЕZ Mr. Stoev.
According to the Deputy Mayor of Plovdiv Municipality Stefan Stoyanov, the opening of the MC is an important step, which he hopes will be followed by public transport and urban railway, connecting Plovdiv with the various subzones of the Trakia Economic Zone. This is the way to develop the city and the region sustainably and evenly. “More than 25,000 people settled in the district last year – this is a small town. The successful development of TIZ gives a better quality of life to people,” said the deputy mayor.
“Medical care is a continuation of our social program,” said the initiator Plamen Panchev, founder and manager of the Thrace Economic Zone, to the journalists and managers of companies present at the opening of Trakia Medical in the Maritsa area. He reminded that 2 years ago in Rakovski zone, part of TIZ, a Center for Vocational Training was opened, which qualifies and retrains not only workers from enterprises, but practical classes with the latest equipment and technologies are led by students from 5 vocational high schools. from the area. “We are currently starting the construction of a kindergarten in the nearby village of Radinovo for the staff of the factories in the Maritsa area,” said Panchev. The Medical Center will facilitate our preventive examinations, but above all it will strengthen the prevention of employees’ diseases. For us, Schneider Electric, the innovation offered by Trakia Medical – a new model of healthcare – is extremely important. “They will be available only to the respective person, but they will provide summarized health statistics to the company’s management, will provide an opportunity to take preventive measures against diseases. Thus, we hope to reduce the use of hospitals,” said Ms. Topchiyska.
Yavor Nikolov, the general manager of the American Sensata Technologies, pointed out that it is easier for them to locate the medical center literally meters from the plant.
