Industrial Zone Plovdiv is located in the city of Plovdiv, on the territory of Maritza municipality and covers part of the village of Kalekovets.
The zone covers a total area of about 300 000 m2, and is a home of companies like Profilink, TVT, Elko Mes, Enko, Koestler and many others.
The successful development of Industrial Zone Plovdiv is due to the excellent infrastructure and the important international roads in proximity including the Trakia highway (A1) to Sofia, Bourgas, the Middle East as well as the well-developed roads to Smolyan and Karlovo. In addition, the railway line Plovdiv – Bourgas passes through the zone, which allows an industrial railway diversion in the village of Rogosh and the development of a rail and automotive cargo terminal. The proximity to Plovdiv (6 km), which is the second largest city in Bulgaria, provides the necessary human resources for the activities of the companies in the zone. The connection with the central gas pipeline for South Bulgaria and the constructed 110 kV electrical substation provides the energy security of the companies.
